Unit description

Unusual unit built on the yard of Crist SA in Gdynia in 2014 for the shipowner Ceona Ship 1 Limited from Great Britain. Ceona Amazon is an MLV (Multi-Lay Vessel), a multi-lay vessel designed to lay pipelines on the seabed and ocean floor that can work even in distant and inaccessible locations.

Ceona Amazon is a vessel with a total length of 199.26 m and a width of 32.25 m, gross tonnage of 31240 and 4.6 thousand sq m of deck area. Up to 200 people can be accommodated. The electric diesel unit has six MAN engines and uses three asymmetric propulsors on the stern. Additionally equipped with one jet and three azimuth propulsors at the bow.
