Vacuum Ship Unloader crane

Unit description

"Coastal vacuum cleaner" or vacuum ship unloader weighing almost 400 tons. The crane is about 30 m high, it works like a huge vacuum cleaner, which sucks the spoil (efficiency at 500 tons per hour) and then throws it on cars or wagons. The device is to be operated at an aluminum smelter in Hafnarfjörður (Iceland)

Scope of work

AN-ELEC was entrusted with the following works on the Vacuum Ship Unloader crane project:

• execution and assembly of cable routes and access points
• laying and fixing cables, wires and optical fibers
• connection of medium voltage installations and optical fibers
• assistance in customer trials and submissions
