Unit description

The m/f Wawel is a passenger and car ferry capable of carrying 1,000 passengers at a time, including 511 in modern cabins. The vessel is 163.96 meters long, 27.63 meters wide, and has a draft of 6.52 meters. Its 1,490-meter load line allows for the transport of 310 passenger cars and 50 trucks. The ferry reaches an operating speed of 16.7 knots.

On board you will find a shop, bars, restaurants, a café and a disco.

Scope of work

In implementing this project, our company was responsible for:

Rok 2025

• cable installation
• installation of a very high fuel level sensor in the tank
• modification of the top-up pump control system
• verification of damage after a failure of the automatic control system for switching on medium voltage shore power
• return of the damaged main switch drive motor
• inspection of the control system and automatics – replacing minor automation components
• modification of the automatic control system for shore power
• installation of a tight passage to the switchgear room and an Emergency Stop switch
