Unit description

The unit was originally built in 1986. The passenger-car ferry was originally called MF Öresund until 2002. In the same year the ship underwent a thorough refurbishment at the Gdansk Repair Shipyard and received a new name Sky Wind MF. Since 2007 the unit has been called MF Wolin. The vessel is 186.02 m in length and 23.7 m in width, with a net tonnage of 22874.

Scope of work

In 2008 AN-ELEC was responsible for the manufacture of stern and sideboard control cabinets / switchgear.

• removal of old switchgears / cabinets
• design of new control switchgears
• construction, assembly and start-up of switchgears responsible for steering the stern and side ramps with the use of Siemens controllers
